West Ham, England and Allardyce
With the International break a week away will we see Fatty name any West Ham players in his squad, AC and Cresswell would have had a chance I think if not for being injured. I feel sorry for Cresswell as he deserved a chance and with Fatty as England manager this was maybe his best chance. I have zero sympathy for AC. That leaves Mark Noble who must have a chance now. Allardyce likes the older type of player and loves leaders and Noble certainly is both. My personnel view is he will make the squad but not the team.

To be honest, I wouldn't pick Cresswell ahead of Shaw or Rose.

Not that I think he's shit, just not as good.

I felt sorry for all of our players having to run around on that bloody awful pitch last week, was no wonder Carroll got injured.

Noble is nailed on to get a call up.

Re: West Ham, England and Allardyce
I'd love to see Noble in there.

That's all really from our team. None of the others are good enough with Cresswell and Carroll injured.

Noble and Antonio are probably worthy of a look.

BFS will be mindful of people jumping on him for picking former players so hopefully he doesn't surrender to the media immediately.

Re: West Ham, England and Allardyce
I'm not convinced he's really international standard yet, but Antonio's heading ability must give him a sniff of a chance in a BFS team.

Re: West Ham, England and Allardyce
Antonio in an England shirt says it all about the current state of English football.

As much as he's a handful, and does a decent enough job for us, he is so technically limited.

I don't think he'll pick Noble. Antonio has got a chance though.

Re: West Ham, England and Allardyce
I'm sorry to say it but i just don't see Noble as having the athleticism required. He does give away a few too many free kicks too on the edge of the box. Great to have in the squad but i think there's players with just that little bit more to offer.

You're absolutely right, but how well has the very technically gifted Sterling done for us?

Re: West Ham, England and Allardyce
I'd say Creswell and Carrol were the two absolute certainties. Gutted for them.

My personal view is that England needs a leader, a real captain, and I can't see past Noble. Of course I'm a bit biased, but even objectively, I think he would be the best England captain to build a team around.

Bushey, the geezer next to me yesterday said we should play Antonio in the middle then he wouldn't run it off the pitch when he's dribbling....

I wonder how much of Antonio fatty has seen?

Captain is also another interesting one for Fatty, if you look at the 14 that played versus Iceland only Rooney captains his club and you'd hardly say Rooney has great linguistic skills and fatty alway said he wants a centre back or midfielder as his captain

getting a bit ahead of yourself there!

Re: West Ham, England and Allardyce
I wouldn't be surprised if in these early days he started experimenting with players who haven't had an England cap before. Some might play better for England than they do in the League.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't bull-headed enough not to give in to the usual media pressure to continually pick top-four players.

Dear Fatsam,

Please leave WHU players alone. Got enough injuries already. Thanks.
